Orange Ventures is Orange's tech investment fund! Endowed with €350 million and autonomous in its decision-making, Orange Ventures acts as a catalyst between the ecosystems and innovation capabilities of the Orange Group and the most promising startups.
Since its creation at the end of 2020, Orange Ventures has made over 30 investments in the most promising start-ups, with financial performance as its primary objective.
Orange Ventures invests mainly in Europe and Africa/Middle East in future tech champions offering software solutions in Orange's strategic areas of expertise. The main sectors are networks and cloud, data and artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cybersecurity, fintech, but also areas such as marketplaces, B2C, content/media, gaming and e-health. Through its Impact fund, Orange Ventures also targets the environment, the circular economy and inclusion.
In Europe, Orange Ventures finances mature start-ups (Series B and C) as well as younger companies supported by the Impact fund (Seed and Series A). In Africa/Middle East, the fund supports the development of future continental champions (Series A and B) and start-ups (Seed) in the 18 countries of the Orange footprint.
Each start-up in the portfolio is supported by the Operating Partners team, which provides access to Orange Group expertise and facilitates synergies with Group entities such as Orange Business, with its 30,000+ B-To-B customers, or Orange operators, with their 282 million customers (as of March 31, 2024) in 26 countries.
By 2023, more than 50% of the start-ups in the portfolio will benefit from active contractual synergies with Orange.
