Understanding forex trading signals - and how to recognise the good from the bad

McDonald’s’ net-zero restaurant is a blip in its emissions ocean. But is that the point?
McDonald’s UK & Ireland has rolled out a new-build restaurant in Shropshire, which it claims is its first to meet net-zero carbon regulations in its construction and operations. The building was constructed using a range of recycled materials, including cladding made from recycled IT equipment, a drive-thru lane using recycled tyres, internal wall signs made from waste coffee beans, and kerbsides constructed from recycled plastic bottles.

The biggest change in the UK telephone network that (almost) no one is talking about
We’re all familiar with the copper wire telephone network: in use since 1876, it’s kept business communications going for years. Since its invention, the public switch telephone network (PSTN) has seen a lot of changes: it's gone from manual switching, which required a human operator, to electronic switching; from just simple copper wires to fibre cables and cellular networks.

Can a new independent institute improve the ethics of AI?
Former Google AI researcher Timnit Gebru is launching an independent AI institute to explore how the technology can exacerbate inequality. The Distributed Artificial Intelligence Research (DAIR) Institute will document the harmful effects AI can have on marginalised communities, while looking for ways to improve access to AI development for those groups. Gebru is a longstanding critic of facial recognition software’s bias against people of colour.

The secret sauce for building winning teams in startups
Whether it’s as founders, investors or as employees, we all know that the success of a business comes down to the people behind it. We all likely have tales to tell about toxic cultures and bad bosses, and we all know of at least one colleague whose impact is so positive, the company wouldn’t be the same without them.
