Growing each year, the scheme now has almost 800 Scale Ups within the Alumni community, including Bloom & Wild, Graze, Olio, Skyscanner, Beam and TIER.
Joining the Scale Up Club
Participants will be selected through a two-stage selection process. While the first stage will focus on growth criteria such as number of employees, revenue or equivalent funding, candidates who progress to the second stage will be assessed on qualitative criteria such as growth mindset and international expansion ambitions.
The scheme seeks out companies who are building sustainable and resilient business models and have strategies in place for how their growth can take them beyond UK borders.
Janet Coyle, managing director of business growth at London & Partners, said, “We are proud to recognise some of the fastest growing companies in the UK each year through the SVC2UK Scale Up Club. These companies are driving forward change and innovation and are testament to the UK’s world-class tech scene.”
“Technology has a fundamental role to play in tackling today’s greatest challenges and I look forward to meeting all the amazing tech companies who will join the Scale Up Club this year.”
Scale Up support
During the 12-month membership programme, companies have the opportunity to access two high-profile events, including the SVC2UK Global CEO Summit in November and mini-Global CEO Summit in May of the following year. The programme and opportunities within it are designed to allow participants not only to learn from each other, but to hear from industry leaders, and be matched with mentors for roundtable discussions on key business and scaling challenges.
Alumni member and CEO and founder of Beam, Alex Stephany, said, “The Scale Up Club provides a powerful new network for ambitious entrepreneurs and companies. Through the Club, we were able to make new contacts to share learnings and insights and access high-quality talks and content.”
Applications are now open and will close on 10th September.
