In the quest to remedy this, Silicon Valley Comes to the UK has launched Beyond HERizons. The 12-month, free new program is specifically designed to target the funding gap in the investment landscape and provide female founders with the skillset, network and confidence to scale their businesses in the UK and abroad.
The specific key aims are to support the female founder network on their scaling journeys; empower female founders to pursue and secure funding; and build an inclusive and diverse network passionate about balancing gender inequalities in the investment ecosystem
Beyond HERizons offers a balance of education, support and networking opportunities for a cohort of female founders. The program is seeking to support 15 diverse female founders who are actively seeking investment in the next 12-18 months. The deadline for submissions is April 16th, with the cohort launching in June.
Janet Coyle, managing director business at London & Partners, told Maddyness UK : “We're excited to launch our Beyond HERizons program, which will provide tailored support to UK female founders on their scaling journeys, empowering them to pursue and secure funding.
“London and the UK is home to thousands of innovative and inspirational female founders, but so often they struggle to scale due to the current funding gap in the investment ecosystem.
“Beyond HERizons will bring together a community of female founders to access impactful, practical support and investor networking opportunities, building a diverse and inclusive network passionate about balancing the gender inequalities in the investment ecosystem.”
