Located in the heart of the East Midlands with a very efficient transport, Nottingham - whose over half of its population is under 30 - is an attractive hub for startups in tech, healthtech and medtech, considering its affordable quality of life. Maddyness selected some of the most inventive tech startups to watch in Nottingham.

Spun-out from the University of Nottingham and experts in developing new treatments for patients with serious spinal conditions, Locate Bio provides products that improve the lives of people with bad spinal conditions. The company is developing a second therapy to help those suffering from degenerative disc disease, a painful condition affecting a combined total of 33M people in both the US and EU.
