Doordeck

Doordeck unlocks your office from your phone and enables rollout of smartphone access to an entire building in under 15 minutes by leveraging a building's existing access technology rather than ripping it all out. This process doesn't require disruptive installation, unreliable Bluetooth, or expensive hardware costs.

The startup software, along with its bespoke 'Tile' reader, unlocks doors from your phone or your smartwatch by using your phone's internet connection and NFC scanner. Unlocking happens in a fraction of a second and securely using AES256 encryption. Doordeck is fundamentally a SaaS platform, allowing them to be simple, scalable and flexible with pricing.

Coconut

Launched in January 2018, Coconut combines a smart current account with powerful bookkeeping tools like expense management and tax categorisation, invoicing and tax. Self-employment is the fastest-growing segment of the workforce with 5M self-employed people in the UK alone. Coconut is building the ultimate accounting and tax tool to support this booming economy. Achieving a growth three times higher within the last 12 months, the company is crowdfunding again to bring the concept to even more people.

Earlier this year, Coconut opened up its accounting and tax platform to anyone with a current account or credit card from 20 different UK banks. Within minutes of connecting their account, customers can see business insights that are generally only available with time-consuming manual data entry in traditional cloud accounting products.

Biohm

Biohm is an award-winning biotech startup disrupting construction through nature-inspired innovation. Placing biological systems at the heart of its inspiration (biomimicry), the company specialises in circular economy to create a step-change in building technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods.

Biohm aims to create a healthy and regenerative environment through bio-based materials, a circular construction system, Triagomy, and a range of consultation services to the industry. By utilising readily available organic and synthetic by-products and ‘waste’ materials from industry it bio-manufactures low-cost, high-performing, and carbon-negative alternatives to unhealthy and environmentally damaging building materials. With this crowdfunding, Biohm is hoping to scale its technologies to meet demand and fulfil major projects.
